WMEMS prides themselves in their ability to create an enriching environment that challenges each student academically, and encourages students to seek God's will for their lives each and every day. It is our goal to equip our students in such a way that they will be prepared for the academic and spiritual challenges that lie ahead in their lives.

We made a decision ten years ago to send our children to Winnipeg Mennonite Elementary School. We wanted a way to integrate a faith journey in our children's lives beyond church involvement.

This decision that was made ten years ago has been affirmed over and over in our experiences at WMEMS. We have encountered a caring community both in the teachers and administration and in the wider community of parents. We have seen Christ's love lived out in the classrooms and on the playground. As a parent of two WMEMS students, one graduating grade 8 and another entering middle school, I reflect on my association with WMEMS over the past nine years, not only on an academic level, but also on a personal level.

While there are many positive experiences that have made the first academic years both memorable and meaningful for my children - Family Fun days, Festival of the Arts, sports activities, band, the Quebec trip - it is the day after day devotion and hard work demonstrated by the teachers that has continued to touch and move me. The care, respect and love the teachers have shown to my children has set a life long example for them. WMEMS has not only provided a solid foundation for future education but has helped to shape and nurture my children's Christian life as well."

For our family a very important component of this village has been WMEMS “ a place where our children are nurtured with love and respect, and their growth and accomplishments are celebrated. The environment is gentle and warm, safe and protective, committed to a pursuit of excellence. There is a love for God that is poured out to our children on a daily basis and for us this is deeply important as aside from our family the most significant people in our children's lives are their teachers.
